In Uniform Bar Exam (UBE) jurisdictions, the Multistate Performance Test (MPT) component of the bar exam comprises twenty percent (20%) of the exam. Non-UBE jurisdictions that administer the MPT set their own policies to determine the weight of the MPT in relation to the overall score. Multistate performance test practice questions are key to doing well on the bar exam!
Thus far, 40 U.S. states plus the District of Columbia, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, Palau and Virgin Islands, administer the MPT as part of their bar exam, with California and Pennsylvania administering their own version of a performance test. The MPT consists of a significant portion of the overall score in UBE jurisdictions. Thus, we recommend spending time developing a plan and practicing your responses to the items. The best way to do this is by doing and reviewing past practice tests.
