giving back, we care, jd advising

JD Advising is giving back to the community.

Here’s how…

Each year, we choose a different cause we want to support.

There are so many causes that we support and so many opportunities to give back. We think that by having a focused goal, we can make a difference in one area each year.

2023 – 2024: Diversity in the Law

Our most recent goal is to support diversity in the law through a variety of initiatives.

2021 – 2022: Female-Founded Companies

Our goal for these years was to support women, including female-owned businesses and women in the law.

2020 – 2021: COVID Pandemic

Due to the unforeseen Coronavirus pandemic that has wreaked havoc upon millions of families and businesses, we are seeking to make a small difference.

In December 2020, we donated several meals to frontline workers in nursing homes and other facilities. We will update this with more information once all meals are delivered.

2019 – 2020: Going Green

This year (2019 – 2020), we are committed to going green!

jd advising going green

We chose going green as our theme for this year. We figured if we had “green” practices from the beginning, not only will we make a difference in the environment this year, but we can continue to maintain environmentally friendly practices in the years to come. We know that our environmentally-conscious decisions this year will become habits in the years to come.

The actions we have taken so far to go green are:

  • We are planting a tree for every student that signs up for our courses. Since we give hard copies of our outlines and essay questions to students, we are aiming to counteract the amount of paper we are using by planting a tree.
  • We are switching to recycled paper for some of our marketing materials.
  • We are recycling all of the pop and water bottles that we purchase for our students, and making sure all recyclable items that come through the office are put in the proper trash receptacle.
  • We are recycling the coffee pods that we purchase.

If you have any questions or suggestions on how we can give back, please feel free to contact us. We’d love to hear from you!
