I recently took the Texas Bar Examination in July 2021. I had previously taken it that February and failed, due to some inexplicably low Essay and MPT scores. (My MBE score was well above passing, but Texas gives equal weight to the MBE vs the combined MEE/MPT) Clearly, a study course was warranted.
I chose JD Advising’s MEE only course, (as well as other supplemental MPT material. I already had MBE study materials.) I found the MEE material thorough, yet concise, with many tips on exactly what the Examiners were looking for on each tested subject. Frankly, the course was far more economical too, than other comparable, nationally-known Bar Review courses.
I received my UBE results summary today, from Texas. I exceeded my MBE score from February. And my Essay/MPT component scores were even higher than my MBE portion. What used to be the test portion that kept me from passing, was now a strength. I passed with enough of an UBE score to comfortably ask for reciprocity, anywhere in the US that accepts UBE reciprocity.
