Where to Find REAL MPRE Questions

Here, we discuss where to find real MPRE questions—that is, questions that have appeared on past MPRE exams. Many students use questions that are distributed by commercial courses. Students complain that some questions are too hard, others are too easy, and overall they are not representative of what they see in actual MPRE questions.

In this post, we tell you where to find real MPRE questions. As noted above, real MPRE questions are retired MPRE questions that have been distributed on past MPRE exams (but will not be distributed on future exams). They are the most representative of the MPRE questions you will see on test day.

There are a few sources for real MPRE questions:

Real MPRE question source #1: JD Advising 

The National Conference of Bar Examiners (NCBE) sells two online 60-question practice tests composed of retired MPRE questions. The first MPRE exam is from 2009 and the second one is from 2017. We sell the same exams with the same answer explanations for a cheaper price (we sell both exams for $79.99, versus the NCBE sells each exam for $50, or $100 for both). Real MPRE question source #2: the National Conference of Bar Examiners (NCBE)

Real MPRE question source #3: Strategies & Tactics for the MPRE (Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam) (emanuel)

The Strategies & Tactics for the MPRE book claims to have over 150 NCBE-released questions. It also (usually) is cheaper than the NCBE exams. One thing to note is that this book uses questions from released MPRE exams from 2002, 2009, and 2017, so there could be overlap if you also buy these exams from JD Advising or the NCBE. The NCBE’s most recent exam probably is the most representative of the questions that will be on the actual MPRE.
