Will the Coronavirus Affect the March 2020 MPRE?
What has the NCBE said about the situation?
The NCBE released a statement on March 3, 2020, addressing the coronavirus outbreak. You can read it in full here. As you can imagine, they are concerned about the situation. However, they are planning to have the MPRE going ahead as planned. They encourage any students with concerns to reach out to Pearson VUE directly. Otherwise, everything is going ahead as planned.
You can also get updates directly from Pearson VUE on their website here.
What can I do to prepare?
The best thing you can do if you are concerned about the coronavirus is to follow guidelines set by both the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The NCBE helpfully linked to its guidelines in its post. You can find the WHO guidelines here, and the CDC guidelines here. In short, washing your hands, avoid touching your face, and staying home if you are sick are the best things you can do to maximize your chances of not contracting the disease or spreading it to others.
We’ll pass along any further information that becomes available.
