What Subjects Are Tested On The NY Bar Exam?
What Are the Different Sections on the New York Bar Exam?
New York administers the Uniform Bar Exam (UBE). The UBE has three sections: the Multistate Bar Exam (MBE), the Multistate Performance Test (MPT) and the Multistate Essay Exam (MEE).
On the MBE, you’ll have six hours to answer 200 multiple-choice questions on seven subjects: contracts and sales, constitutional law, criminal law and procedure, civil procedure, evidence, real property, and torts. There are countless reasons why studying with real MBE questions will help you ultimately prepare for the bar exam. Here are 5 reasons why using real MBE questions matter. When you get to the essay section, you’ll have three hours to answer six questions. Those essays may test the same topics on the MBE, or these additional areas of the law: business associations, conflict of laws, family law, trusts and estates, and the uniform commercial code (secured transactions).
