Failing the bar exam is one of the worst experiences imaginable. If you’re in the same boat, I cannot recommend JD Advising’s tutoring program enough. July 2023 was my first Bar exam and I used a very popular course that my school and everyone else suggested. I knew after I failed, things had to change. I had used JD Advising for my MPRE prep and really enjoyed how their definitions of the rules were simplified and in plain English. After reading excellent reviews on the Bar Exam tutoring, I decided I was going to do whatever it took to not have to take this test again and chose to spend the money on the personal tutoring sessions.
I’m so glad I did because my tutor, Alexandra, was so essential to my learning. I got weekly feedback from her on all MBE/MEE essay topics and got to throughly review hundreds of MCQ with her. Not only that, but I was also able to vent to her about my fears of the exam and failing again. She instilled confidence in me and helped me pick myself up on the days I thought I would never pass. She was also able to work around my full-time work schedule, which was so helpful. I took the February 2024 bar exam, after failing my first bar exam in July 2023 by a few points. After the dreaded wait for the results, which felt like an eternity, I am relieved and excited to report I not only passed the February bar exam, but increased my scores by 18 points, which is high enough to practice in any UBE jurisdiction.
When I started preparing for the second bar exam, I had already started working full-time at a law firm.
