As someone who chose to go with JD Advising from a small law school with a heavy bias towards Barbri, I would like to give my highest recommendation to JD Advising. I was uncertain of my choice until bar prep actually began, and I soon realized I had made the correct decision. JDA places the correct emphasis on each aspect of studying, dividing time perfectly between MBEs, MEEs, MPTs, lectures, and, most importantly, memorization.
The program was absolutely worth the money. I graduated at the top of my class but always struggled with focus and studying and worried that my bar prep program would not give me the structure I needed. However, JDA’s schedule and rewarding interface helped me to finish with a 348 (176 MBE, 172 MEE). I highly recommend the course!

I wanted to say thank you to JD Advising because the program really was next level and I give it a ton of credit. The essay topics surprised me (and most of the nation) because it looks like the bar examiners wanted to send a message to the bar prep companies that there is “no gaming the bar exam” by picking topics that haven’t been tested in years, but other than that very unfair surprise by the NCBE, I felt ABSOLUTELY prepared—especially on the MBE.
I received a 294 total UBE score with a 151 on the MBE and 143 on the MEE. My average Q-bank score for all of bar prep was a 75% percent correct and according to the JD advising MBE conversion chart, my actual MBE performance on the Bar was about a 72% raw score. So the exposure to REAL bar exam questions was an absolute game changer and just invaluable.
Talking to some friends that struggled and used other companies, the big difference was the lack of emphasis on memorization by other bar prep providers. We probably spent 40-50% of each day just memorizing rules before we watched our lectures and it showed on the exam. Please don’t ever stray from that principle because it’s what I think helped us the most.

I am so thankful I decided on JD advising. There were essay questions that came up on the exam that other bar prep courses did not even cover. If you already purchased another bar course, I still suggest you buy supplements such as one sheets from them. It will be worth your money and offer a significant amount of clarification. Would pick this company any day.

Thanks to JD Advising I have passed the February 2022 MA bar exam!!!! I have used several big bar prep courses in the past but none of them aligned with the way I learn material. They focused more on lectures and practice but did not leave much time for memorization. JD Advising stood out to me because not only did they focus on practice, they also focused first on ensuring that we had adequate time to memorize the law, something that I knew I needed time for if I was going to pass the bar exam. Their outlines were easy to read and understand unlike the outlines I’ve used in the past. I also appreciated all the advice they provided on their website regarding the UBE exam, including the MEE, which was the part of the exam I struggled with the most in the past. I can’t thank JD Advising enough for helping me obtain my goal of passing the bar and becoming a licensed attorney!
