NCBE’s Second Online MPRE Practice Exam Released!

The National Conference of Bar Examiners has released their second 60-question MPRE practice exam! You can find the practice exam online here! The greatest things about the NCBE practice exams is that they are composed of actual former MPRE questions. These questions were used on previous exams and have since been retired. In addition to the questions, the exam is annotated with explanations for why each answer choice is correct or incorrect. An earlier released MPRE practice exam is available as well, and both cost $40. Once purchased, you will receive unlimited access to your exam for one year.

We have always strongly advocated that using actual released exam questions is the best way to study for any test.

This gives you a much better idea of what you will be facing on exam day. You should practice with questions that are as close as possible to the ones that will actually be on the test. Many commercial programs write their own questions. While that is better than nothing (you certainly need to be practicing with something!), they aren’t actual test questions. Some people can easily tell the difference between an NCBE question and one written by a third party. Most people say NCBE questions are more difficult.

You don’t want easier external questions to lull you into a false sense of security. It is much better to struggle with the more difficult authentic questions and then to learn something from them. And if you succeed with them, then you can be confident you know how to answer actual MPPRE questions! Thus, MPRE practice exams released by the NCBE are a must-have for any test taker!
