We often get asked how students can utilize One-Sheets as they prepare for the Uniform Bar Exam (UBE). Here, we provide you with a July 2022 Bar Exam One-Sheet review of how our JD Advising MEE One-Sheets helped July 2022 Uniform Bar Exam takers.
JD Advising MEE One-Sheets Review—July 2022 Uniform Bar Exam
JD Advising’s MEE One-Sheets provide students with a summary of highly tested topics on the MEE. During the July 2022 bar exam administration, JD Advising’s One-Sheets covered the majority of issues that appeared on the UBE! In this post, we analyze exactly what appeared on the July 2022 MEE and how those topics stacked up with our MEE One-Sheets.
To properly prepare for the Multistate Essay Exam (MEE) portion of the Uniform Bar Exam, students must learn and memorize a huge volume of material. JD Advising’s MEE One-Sheets provide the black-letter law of the most highly tested issues, as well as the frequency with which those issues have previously appeared on the MEE, all on one page (front and back) per subject. JD Advising’s MEE One-Sheets also include when issues previously appeared, so you can easily refer to those ssays to see how a particular issue was tested!
For the July 2022 administration of the MEE, students who memorized JD Advising’s MEE One-Sheets (28 pages of material!) would have been prepared to address over 60% of the issues presented on the UBE!
Here is a breakdown of what the JD Advising July 2022 MEE One-Sheets covered:

Trusts and Future Interests: 100%
Trusts and Future Interests appeared in combination with Decedents’ Estates in July 2022. The Trusts and Future Interests issues were trust creation, trust revocability, and charitable trusts, noting that noncharitable trusts are subject to the rule against perpetuities (RAP).
The JD Advising MEE One-Sheets addressed all the above topics and specifically stated that charitable trusts are not subject to the RAP, giving students an understanding of the law required to successfully answer this portion of the July 2022 MEE!
July 2022 MEE Subjects That Were Largely Covered on the July 2022 JD Advising One-Sheets

Civil Procedure: 50%
The July 2022 MEE tested the Civil Procedure issues of necessary parties (Rule 19), diversity jurisdiction, supplemental jurisdiction, and how to proceed without a necessary party.
The JD Advising MEE One-Sheets provided information on diversity jurisdiction and supplemental jurisdiction, allowing students to earn about 50% of the points on this MEE question!
July 2022 MEE Subjects that Tested Rarely or Never-Tested MEE Issues
Contracts and Sales
The July 2022 MEE tested Contracts and Sales issues that have rarely or never been tested on the MEE: the parol evidence rule, extrinsic evidence in contract interpretation, and noncompete clauses.
Extrinsic evidence in contract interpretation and noncompete clauses have virtually never been tested on the MEE, and parol evidence rule has been tested only once on the MEE.
Real Property
Like the Contracts and Sales MEE question, the July 2022 Real Property MEE question tested issues that have rarely or never been tested on a Real Property MEE. The July 2022 Real Property MEE tested life estates and the rule against perpetuities (RAP), both of which have virtually never been tested on a Real Property MEE. Additionally, the July 2022 Real Property MEE tested fee simple determinable, which has been tested previously only once on the MEE (February 2010).
(While our one-sheets did not address the above issues, our course outlines, lectures, and other course materials certainly did!)
