As the February bar exam nears, students are wondering how to spend the last few weeks of bar preparation to maximize their chances of success.  We recommend signing up for JD Advising’s Michigan Bar Exam Seminar!

Maximizing Your Chances of Success on the Michigan Bar Exam: JD Advising’s Michigan Bar Exam Seminar

Our Michigan bar exam seminar provides students with the following:

  • an in-depth review of the Michigan distinctions for the multistate subjects (Constitutional Law, Contracts and Sales, Torts, Civil Procedure, Evidence, Criminal Law and Procedure, and Real Property).
  • the highly-tested topics on the essay portion of the Michigan bar exam (Secured Transactions, Corporations, Workers’ Compensation, Personal Property, Domestic Relations, Agency, Partnership, Conflicts of Law, etc.) in an easy to learn, concise format.  
  • tips for the last two weeks of bar exam preparation.
  • new cases that are likely to appear on the Michigan bar exam.
  • predictions on what we anticipate will be coming up!

In addition, we allow students the opportunity to ask any last-minute questions. Students who sign up for the seminar are also provided with a “booklet” of approximately 70 pages.

We make no guarantees that the information we will go over in the seminar will be tested on the upcoming Michigan bar exam. However, we have generally predicted one-third to one-half of the issues tested on the Michigan Bar Exam.  

 The Michigan bar exam seminar for the July 2016 bar exam  accurately covered many of the issues on the bar exam, including:

  • The No-Fault question on noneconomic damages (which was the entire question!)
  • The Equity question on preliminary injunctions (which was the entire question!)
  • We predicted that Miranda would be tested on the Criminal Procedure question
  • Delegation and Modification under the UCC (both comprised the entire Sales question!)
  • Bailments and Statutory Conversion in the Personal Property question (both issues comprised the entire question!)
  • Hearsay and Convictions for Impeachment in the Evidence question
  • Trade fixtures in Real Property (half the question)
  • Actual authority, apparent authority, ratification, and vicarious liability in Agency (all issues comprised the entire Agency question!)
  • Spousal Support in Domestic Relations (the entire question)
  • Reporting Professional Misconduct (Rule 8.3) in Professional Responsibility and Rule 1.6 (the entire question)
  • Elements of a valid will and valid holographic will as well as defining a child for the purposes of intestate succession (the entire question)
