Beth was an absolutely fantastic tutor to work without throughout the course of my bar exam preparation period. She provided me consistently with specific, valuable feedback that helped to improve my abilities and my scores throughout the course of the time we worked together. One thing I specifically appreciated about Beth was her ability and willingness to adapt our sessions to best fit what my needs were at that specific time. One example of this is the rules review that we focused on heavily in the last few sessions. Beth utilized flashcards to quiz me on rules for the MBE subjects and work on rapid, accurate recall of the rules across the MBE subjects. This helped me tremendously to work on my ability to recall rules quickly as well as boosted my confidence in the weeks leading up to the exam.
Beth’s essay feedback was also highly useful. It was evident to me that she carefully selected each essay that I was assigned to do in order to make sure that it was the helpful selection she could make. Her feedback that she provided also made it clear that Beth read my essay with a fine toothed comb. She drilled formatting into my head from day one, helping me to ensure that I would pick up those critical points, and also made sure that I was best set up for success on how to write rule statements that were clear and concise. She also helped me to understand very nuanced topics that I was struggling with throughout my studies.
Finally, she was flexible in working with me at times and opportunities that worked best for me. When I received additional hours for tutoring, she worked with me to schedule those without hesitation. I cannot recommend working with Beth enough, she was able to perfectly balance working on the substantive areas of the law while also ensuring that I was receiving the necessary emotional and mental support and encouragement to best set myself up for success. It was clear to me from day one that Beth knows and loves the law, and it makes her a fantastic tutor.
