Will my Law Firm pay for a JD Advising Course?
Will my Law Firm pay for a JD Advising Course?
We have had several students inquire about our JD Advising course and ask us if their law firm will pay for a JD Advising course. The answer is: probably! Read more below.
Will my Law Firm pay for a JD Advising Course?
Does it matter what size firm I am at?
We have many students who get a full JD Advising course subsidized by a law firm.
- We have AmLaw 200 firms pay for full courses.
- We also have large firms (those that have large hiring classes) subsidize courses.
- Medium size firms (those with smaller hiring classes of only one to three associates) subsidize our courses.
- Small firms (firms that do not offer summer associate programs) pay for courses.
Does it matter if I am a first-time taker or repeat taker?
Many law firms pay for first-time takers to take our course. (This is especially true for the “top” law firms, where we tend to get more first-time takers). But we also have repeat takers who belong to firms that are more than happy to pay for a JD Advising course. Firms are happy to sponsor JD Advising courses for repeat takers because we offer a different approach than a standard commercial course. And our results speak for themselves. Therefore, a firm would rather invest more money up front and know that they are likely to have an attorney by the time the bar exam administration is over!
How do I get my law firm to pay for a JD Advising course?
If you are wondering if your law firm will pay for a JD Advising course, please contact us. We work with several law firms already and it very possible that we already have a relationship with your law firm.
If we do not already have a billing plan set up with your firm, ask your recruiter if they are willing to pay for a JD Advising course. If they agree, we will contact the recruiter directly and invoice the firm for your course deposit so your spot can be reserved.
Will my law firm pay for a different JD Advising service or course?
In addition to paying for our full courses, firms have paid for our essay courses, tutoring services, seminars, and products! Many law firms are happy to contribute to bar exam preparation costs because the risk of an associate failing outweighs the relatively minor cost to the firm.
If you would like to know whether we already work with your law firm, please contact us at your convenience!
