Figure Out Where You Struggle
Before we break down our different options that we offer, if you are looking for Uniform bar exam help, you should first determine where you struggle. This is especially pertinent to those that have taken the bar exam before and failed. When trying to determine where you struggle most, do the following:
- First, analyze your uniform bar exam score report to see where you fell short. When analyzing your score report try to determine if there was a portion of the exam that you passed. If so, then you should structure your bar exam approach to focus on the area in which you need more improvement. Some people fail all portions of the exam and have to improve a little bit everywhere—this tends to be the most common thing we see. Keep reading to see our options for Uniform bar exam help options.
- Determine if you have a timing issue. When we say “timing issue” we mean did you run out of time on any portion of the exam? If the answer is yes, try to remember what you were unable to finish. For some people, they run out of time and miss two essays. Others run out of time and miss a MBE question or two. The first scenario is a more severe timing issue—in other words, it has to be addressed immediately in order to pass the bar exam. Remember, you can know all of the law but if you can’t perform the test in the time allotted you likely won’t pass! But no matter how much you struggle with timing, it is an obstacle that can be overcame—it is just something that should be tackled early on in bar prep.
When determining where you struggle, remember that the Uniform bar exam is made up of three parts—the MBE, MPT, and MEE. Each portion is weighted differently, the MBE is worth 50%, the MEE 30% and the MPT 20%. Each Uniform jurisdiction sets their own minimum passing score. If you want to see the minimum passing scores in each jurisdiction, check out this post.
