To be a JD Advising Elite Tutor one must meet certain standards AND complete our rigorous and comprehensive training. To be considered as an Elite Tutor, one must graduate law school with a strong academic record, including at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA, a high bar exam score, and proof of passing the bar exam on their first attempt. Because our standards are so high, JD Advising does not hire or even interview every candidate that possesses these impressive credentials.

We ensure our Elite Tutors are fully equipped to support students by providing them a comprehensive training program that includes:

Lisa

Lisa Cline

Position: Bar Exam Course Instructor, Tutor

Lisa is an Attorney Content Creator, Coordinator, Course Instructor, and Tutor with JD Advising. Lisa received a BS in biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, an MD from East Carolina University School of Medicine, and a JD from Mitchell Hamline School of Law. Lisa graduated from Mitchell Hamline summa cum laude and was first in her class. Lisa participated in three of Mitchell Hamline’s law journals and published two student notes, both of which are available on Westlaw. Lisa was Executive Editor of Mitchell Hamline’s Law Review Volume 45. While in law school, Lisa earned CALI awards in Contracts, Commercial Law, Advanced Civil Dispute Resolution, Advocacy, Professional Responsibility, and Transactions and Settlements. Lisa previously worked as a child advocacy attorney, representing the best interests of children in high-conflict custody and domestic violence cases.

Lisa scored 323 on the UBE and 163 on the MBE. Lisa is licensed to practice law in North Carolina and Illinois. In her free time, Lisa enjoys running, gardening, and spending time with her family.

Ninos

Bio: Ninos graduated from the George Washington University Law School in 2019 with highest honors (top 1%), while working full-time. He holds both Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University and currently works at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) on the patents side of the agency.

He passed the Uniform Bar Exam for Washington, D.C., in July 2019 with a cumulative score of a 316. Additionally, he successfully passed the California Bar Exam in February 2020 while maintaining full-time employment at the USPTO. He is also admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Jordan

Position: Bar Exam Course Instructor, Tutor Experience: 3 bar exam administrations with JD Advising Notable Accomplishment: Jordan excelled at Harvard Law School.

Bio: Jordan graduated from Harvard Law School in 2021. While in law school, he served as a teaching fellow for the Negotiation Workshop. He also served as the Notes and Comments Editor for the Harvard Journal of Law & Technology, and was a research assistant for a professor where he explored public accommodations and their intersection with civil rights protections. As a law student, he completed over 1,000 hours of pro bono work. Upon graduating from law school, he clerked for the Chief Judge of the District of Rhode Island and subsequently on the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. He currently works for a government agency in their appellate section. He is a member of the Massachusetts Bar and is licensed to practice in the Commonwealth.

Andrew

Bio: Andrew graduated from NYU Law in 2018. Prior to law school, he worked as a math teacher through the Teach For America program. Today Andrew works in special education law as a public interest attorney in New York City, helping low-income families of students with disabilities receive a free and appropriate public education. He is passionate about access to justice issues as well as making education accessible to all. Andrew graduated from NYU as a Pro Bono Scholar, with cum laude honors, and participated in several of the law school’s clinics. Doriel

Albert

Albert sat for and passed the Uniform Bar Exam in July 2016 with a cumulative score of 328. Bio: Laura is an attorney licensed to practice in New York and Tennessee. She graduated in 2017 from Duke University School of Law. Chris previously served as a Skadden Fellow and as a Deputy Attorney General in the State of California Department of Justice. Chris previously clerked on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. Chris was also a Fulbright Research Scholar in the Philippines.

Daniel F.

Bio: Jonathan is an attorney licensed in the state of Michigan. His transactional practice focuses on real estate deals, zoning and land use matters, public space enhancements, and other economic development projects. Before joining the City, Jonathan was an associate at a large Michigan law firm, the executive director of a Detroit-based community development corporation, and a Teach for America-affiliated high school social studies teacher in the Detroit Public Schools.

Adrienne

Nicole

Bio: Nicole graduated first in her class in the part-time program at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in December of 2020. Erica

Alexandra

Bio: Alexandra is a licensed attorney in Texas. She graduated cum laude and in the top 15% of her class from UNT Dallas College of Law in 2021. For his work, he received Dean’s Awards in Contract Law, Administrative Law, and Legal History, recognition as Best Oralist and First Place Advocate in moot court, and BU’s Berger Achievement Prize for overall academic performance.

Liam currently serves as a judicial clerk at the Vermont Supreme Court and will then clerk for the U.S. District Court for Massachusetts. He previously interned for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit and the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court.

Kelsey

Bio: Kelsey is an attorney licensed to practice in Ohio. She graduated in 2021 from the University of Akron School of Law in the Top 5% of her class. She was an Editor for the Akron Law Review, a member of the Moot Court Honor Society and served as a teaching assistant for Real Property. Kelsey received CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in Civil Procedure, Criminal Law, Constitutional Law, 21st Century Litigation, Family Law, Torts and Legislation and Regulation. She received a cumulative score of 312 on the Ohio UBE.

Kelsey is a mother to three young children, two of whom she had during her first two years of law school. She is a practicing attorney focused in the areas of Real Property, Wills Trusts and Estates, Contracts, and Civil Litigation. In her free time, she serves on the Board of Directors for a public school scholarship foundation and is devoted to the furtherance and advancement of public education.

Baylee

Bio: Baylee is a licensed attorney in the state of Ohio. She graduated cum laude from the University of Cincinnati College of Law. While in law school Baylee received CALI awards in Evidence and Sales. Baylee served as a study group leader and senior academic success program leader during her second and third years of law school. She also served on the University of Cincinnati Law Review where she published a Note titled A Covid Silver Lining? How Telework May Be a Reasonable Accommodation After All.

Baylee sat for the July 2023 UBE administered in Ohio and passed with a cumulative score of 343. Baylee enjoys cooking, boating, and spending time with her Great Pyrenees, Elliot.

Venu

Bio: Venu graduated cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center. He was named the Best Oral Advocate in Georgetown’s internal moot court competition his first year and later competed in the National Moot Court Competition. Throughout his time in law school, he worked full-time as a federal law enforcement analyst and currently practices criminal law in New York.

Notable Accomplishments: Prior to attending law school, Venu completed a Presidential Management Fellowship with the United States Federal Government.

Vanessa

Bio: Vanessa is an attorney licensed to practice law in New York and Washington D.C. She graduated magna cum laude from the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University in 2020, ranking in the top 5% of her class. During her time at law school, Vanessa served as the Note and Comment Editor for the Pace International Law Review. Additionally, she was a Dean Scholar and an active participant on multiple Mock Trial Teams. In 2020, Vanessa achieved an exceptional score of 317 on the Uniform Bar Exam.

In her leisure time, Vanessa enjoys traveling, engaging in outdoor activities, reading, and spending quality time with her two dogs.
