When will February 2016 New York Bar Exam Results be Released? February 2016 New York bar exam results should be released around the last week of April or first week of May. (Our formal prediction is May 3 but it could really be anytime at the end of April or beginning of May!)

Note that the New York State Board of Law Examiners seems to like releasing results on Tuesday through Friday most of the time (when releasing July results, they seem to like Wednesdays and Fridays, and when releasing February results, they seem to like Tuesday and Thursday, as you can see below.) Which States have Adopted the Uniform Bar Exam (UBE)?

The Uniform Bar Exam (UBE) is an exam promulgated by the National Conference of Bar Examiners (NCBE). More and more states are adopting this uniform test, which, rather than testing any specific state law, tests the majority law. It is being quickly adopted across the nation! These states are listed below.

When will July 2015 New York Bar Exam Results be Released?

We are counting down the days until July 2015 New York bar exam results are released. July 2015 New York bar exam results should be released around the last week of October or first week of November. (Our formal prediction is November 3 but it could really be anytime at the end of October or beginning of November!)

How accurate are Barbri essay graders?

Every administration, many students ask, “How accurate are Barbri essay graders?” or “How accurate are the Kaplan essay graders?”

Students wonder if the scores they receive from these essay graders are an accurate reflection of how they will do on the bar exam. The answer I always tell them is, “not necessarily.”

I had a student for a recent bar exam, who agreed to let me share her scores (although her name will remain confidential). This student received several scores of 4 (a passing grade was 10)from Barbri graders as well as quite low scores from Kaplan graders. She did not get a score above a 7 (a passing score) from Barbri or Kaplan graders. However, she did receive a passing score on her actual bar exam. Read more
