We Wrote 10 of the 11 Passing Bar Exam Appeals in the State of Michigan for the July 2017 Michigan Bar Exam!

The Heidemann Law Firm is thrilled to have written 10 of the 11 bar exam appeals that passed in the State of Michigan for the July 2017 Michigan bar exam administration.  486 students passed pre-appeal and 497 passed after appeals. The passage rate for the July 2017 Michigan bar exam is 73%.

Further, some states have changed their bar exam appeals policy after adopting the UBE or changing their bar exam. However, based on the state bar examiner’s websites, we are able to see that the following states allow bar exam appeals. (Note: This is not legal advice. Please look up your jurisdiction’s rules in-depth if you are considering a bar exam appeal. Many people have been contacting us and asking us if it is worth it to appeal their bar exam scores. Many clients are very curious about their prospects of passing the Michigan bar exam on appeal. We wrote a post about this last administration but given the high influx of calls, we figured it would be worth it to quickly update the post for this time.

A big factor in making the decision to appeal is to figure out how many points you need to pass the Michigan bar exam on appeal.  Since the Board of Law Examiner’s uses an undisclosed scoring method, it is difficult to discern based on scores alone.  We found a better way to accurately determine what you need.  Read more
