If you are a repeat bar taker who is considering signing up for JD Advising Tutoring please keep reading. Not to be dramatic, but as someone who has had to retake the bar exam multiple times and started to lose my confidence, JD advising tutoring changed my life. I wrestled with the UBE jurisdiction bar exam 3 times. The first time I had no idea what I was doing because I came from another jurisdiction and I failed by well over 15 points. The second time I had more self-taught strategies down but missed the mark yet again. The final time, I made the decision to not only use JD advising materials, but also invest in tutoring as well which included outlines, essay grading, and fifteen tutoring sessions at 1hr each. The materials provided by JD Advising were thorough and they were the only outlines I used. TUTORING WAS A GAME CHANGER! As soon as I had my first session with Caroline, I knew I was in good hands. She was bubbly, optimistic and reassured me countless times that this time would be different than any other time. She was right! Having Caroline on my team equipped me with the knowledge to tackle this exam with strategies tailored to my specific learning style- which I never had before. I am so glad I went with JD advising for tutoring my second time taking the bar. Ninos was my tutor and was very helpful every step of the way. He tailored our sessions based on what I needed to work on the most. Taking the bar the first time, I was unable to finish any session of the exams and missed out on a lot of points. But with the help of JD advising and Ninos, I was able to go up by 31 points even with running out of time for some sections. Ninos challenged me during our session, he asked questions and made me explain them in my own words which helped by understanding of the concept. His feedback when grading my essays always let me know what I was doing good in, and what I need to work on. Thank you JD advising and Ninos, Job well done!

I am obsessed with Heather Buck and have nothing but positive and amazing things to share. First, substantively Heather has so much knowledge about the structure of the bar exam itself. She understands how to teach so that students understand the structure and timing to be successful. I learned how it’s of course important to memorize the subjects, but it’s equally important to understand the patterns of the exam so that issue spotting is that much easier. From day one, Heather made sure I learned all of these aspects. Of course having a tutor that understands the bar exam is the most important, but what makes Heather so special is that she truly cares about her students.
