Generally, stick to the course and you will pass. Studying early pays big dividends. For me, it moved quickly. You’re in your first class, then you blink, July is here, and you’re on your own. Therefore, don’t get caught up in the big picture. Rather, just do your job every day, studying the material for that day. JD Advising will take care of the rest.

I strongly recommend JD Advising over any other bar prep course. I took other bar prep course in the past because I sat for the bar exam twice even though I ranked within the top 10% of my law school class. The first time around I used a popular course and tried frantically to keep up with the long lectures and filling in the outlines. I NEVER felt well prepared even though I studied long hours. The night before the MBE I could not sleep at all! I was physically exhausted and I barely could keep my eyes open to read the questions. The second time around I used the materials my own way and passed. Later, I moved to a new jurisdiction. I hated the thought of having to take another bar exam, this time the UBE. My law school library was outdated so I needed to buy the BEST course available. I chose JD Advising after watching their MPRE videos on YouTube. I remembered a lot from those videos and scored 119 in the October 2020 MPRE. I called JD Advising to ask a few questions about the bar prep course. They were very responsive and approachable then, during, and after the course. I knew what I wanted: streamlined outlines, brief lectures, strategic, and doable tasks. In sum, a great course I could follow and feel good about it without the need to reinvent the course myself or having to supplement it. I have two kids now and less time to spare. The On Demand UBE course seemed to have EVERYTHING I wanted and it was incredibly affordable. I loved it as soon as I started it. I was pleasantly surprised I gained knowledge and CONFIDENCE just by following the course. It did not feel wrong to trust the material and suggested schedule. I saw improvement in my essays, MPT, and MBE practice. I also tried to follow JD Advising’s tips. I completed every task minus five essays and two MPTs within 12 weeks. I did around 950 MBE questions, but studied carefully every single one afterwards. JD Advising suggests quality over quantity. The course offered what I needed without shortcuts. I studied VERY hard. I only used the JD Advising materials and obtained a 308 UBE score in the February 2020 exam. I am very pleased and truly recommend JD Advising.

If you’re contemplating which bar prep course to enroll in, look no further. JDA is the course for you. The supportive staff ease all anxieties from day one. I remember being flustered and nervous while embarking on the bar prep process, but the jitters were short-lived because, although the process may seem overwhelming, the JDA team was always there for me. My never-ending, complex questions were quickly and thoroughly answered. Unpacking concepts and reformulating strategies were always welcome.
The virtual live courses ran smoothly and with no technical issues. The structure of the lectures, readings, weekly assignments, and recommended work was definitely key to my success. Rather than having daily assignments and attending lectures 5 days per week, the course is divided into weekly (realistic) goals and expectations. The resources (including easy access to old exams, essay predictions, charts, MBE practice questions and instant explanations, clearly written MI distinctions, one-sheets, condensed outlines, weekly quizzes, and feedback on essays) are invaluable and offer more than other bar prep courses.
Studying for the bar exam is an art and a science. Some bar prep courses fail to realize that — JDA, on the other hand, nailed it.
