MPT Score Sheet For Self-Grading MPTs
MPT Score Sheet – For Self-Grading MPTs
When you are just starting to write multistate performance test (MPT) answers, it is helpful to compare them to the point-sheets promulgated by the National Conference of Bar Examiners as well as high-scoring student answers. However, some students find it helpful to see if they got the “basics” down by asking these questions. You can start by just looking at your answer and the task memo. However, you should eventually get comfortable with examining other documents (i.e., MPT student answers and point sheets) as you go through this MPT score sheet.
MPT Score Sheet – For Self-Grading MPTs
1. Did I identify the problem?
2. Is the tone appropriate (persuasive or objective)?
3. Did I come up with an MPT answer that responded to the task?
4. Are the relevant legal issues identified?
5. Did I use the relevant facts from cases and did I appropriately analyze the facts I was given?
6. Did I communicate clearly and eloquently given the time constraints?
7. Is my communication manner appropriate for my audience (e.g. if you are writing to a layperson, you should not be using legalese!)?
8. Did I organize and format my task appropriately?
9. Did I complete the task within the time constraints?
10. Are all ethical dilemmas present resolved?
