MPT Memo Example
Looking for an MPT memo example? Sometimes it is easier to approach a memo on the MPT if you have a good idea of what it looks like. When you are asked to write an objective memorandum on the MPT, you will often be writing a memo to a boss or a senior partner explaining how specific issues should turn out. Since memos are highly tested, it is good to have an MPT memo example in your mind so that you can properly format your memo. In this post, we give an explanation of a memo, a mpt memo format, and an mpt memo example from the July 2017 MPT.We have an MPT memo format pictured in the photo above, but we will explain each portion here so that you can better understand the pieces of an MPT.

This portion above is the caption of the memo. You should make it a habit to always include a caption in your memos!
Introduction:
Your introduction should describe, in 3-5 sentences, a summary of what you are being asked to discuss. Many memos will ask you to omit a statement of facts so there is no need to recap the facts. Instead, you will want to resummarize the issues.
Discussion:
Heading 1:
Heading 2:
Heading 3:
For each portion of your discussion, each issue should start with a heading and you should apply the law to the facts to state a conclusion.
Conclusion
Lastly, make sure to conclude. A conclusion is very important for a full memo, so even if you are running out of time, skip ahead to the conclusion so you can have a complete-looking answer.
